Notre Dame Unveils Rockne Heritage Uniform for 2017 Football Season

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be wearing special uniforms when they host Navy at Notre Dame Stadium on November 18. 

Jane Horvat of UND.com reported Notre Dame will honor university legend Knute Rockne by sporting Rockne Heritage Uniforms for the program's home game against the school's longtime rival. 

The sleeves of the jersey will feature lines from the iconic speech made famous by the movie Knute Rockne, All-American. The logo, helmets, jersey colors and cleats are all throwbacks to Rockne's days as a player and, later, a coach. 

The three stars on the back of the jersey represent the national championships Rockne won as a coach, and a special Rockne patch is stitched on the front.
