Nick Saban Unleashes Epic Rant on Reporters
The Alabama Crimson Tide don't begin their season until a showdown with Florida State on September 2, but head coach Nick Saban seems more than ready for the start of football.
On Wednesday, Saban appeared to have some fun with reporters after being asked a question about linebacker Christian Miller:
"You guys make all these predictions about everything, about guys that are going to be great players, that have been here for two years and who is going to win all the games. I don't even know why we play.
"Why do we even play? Why do we even have practice? Why do we compete? Why do we coach guys? How do they need to improve? I mean, you guys got all the answers to, I mean, how guys are going to be or what they're going to do.
"Sometimes I wonder why do we play? I mean, why do we even have practice? Because you guys got all these conclusions already drawn about who's what, how good they are, what they can do. I mean, so why would you ask me? That's puzzling to me. Why would you ask me?"
After continuing on for a few more seconds, Saban cracked a smile.
"But Christian Miller has done a nice job," the five-time national champion coach finally responded to the original question as others in the room had a good laugh.
Kickoff can't come soon enough.
