Joey Votto Smacks a Double Despite Cubs' Four-Man Outfield

It takes more than a four-man outfield to keep Joey Votto off base, as the Cubs learned the hard way Monday.

As Chicago faced the Cincinnati Reds, the Cubs reconfigured their defense in the top of the fifth inning as the five-time All-Star came up to bat, positioning third baseman Kris Bryant in the left-center field gap in anticipation of a line drive to the outfield.

However, Votto roped a ground ball down the first base line, sending the defense scrambling while he jogged to second for a double.
