4-Star WR Prospect Arjei Henderson Commits to Oregon over Alabama, Clemson, More
Arjei Henderson is getting an early start on his future by committing on Saturday to play wide receiver at the University of Oregon starting in 2019.
Henderson announced his decision to attend Oregon on Twitter:

A standout at Travis High School in Richmond, Texas, after recording 100 receptions for 1,401 yards last season, Henderson is a 4-star prospect who is ranked as the No. 6 wide receiver from his home state, the No. 13 wide receiver recruit in the nation and the No. 78 overall recruit in the 2019 class, per Scout.com.
Henderson was a highly sought-after playmaker before giving the Ducks his commitment. He had offers from powerhouse programs like Clemson, Texas, Alabama and Oklahoma.
Scoring an early commitment from Henderson is a big win for Oregon head coach Willie Taggart, who is doing a terrific job with the program before coaching his first game. The Ducks finished 17th in the nation in this year's recruiting rankings, per Scout.com.
Coming off last season's 4-8 record, Oregon needed to take big swings to turn things around in a competitive Pac-12. Taggart's hiring was the first step in the process, with the big-time recruits following suit in the eight months since.
