Kylian Mbappe's Agents Reportedly Meet with Barcelona Amid Real Madrid Rumours
Barcelona have reportedly held a meeting with Monaco star Kylian Mbappe's agents "to make their interest clear" as Neymar's departure to Paris Saint-Germain becomes increasingly possible.
According to Le Parisien (via Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz), Barca have been assured there is no agreement in place for Mbappe to join Real Madrid and the club knows the 18-year-old "is willing to leave Monaco." It is reported his fee would be over €150 million (£134 million).
That's because Real, Manchester City and PSG, three of the richest clubs in the world, have all been linked with the France international as well.
Barca should be able to stump up the cash for Mbappe if they sell Neymar, as the Brazilian would cost PSG an eye-watering £196 million, per Pete Jenson of the Daily Mail.
And the Frenchman could well be the perfect replacement for the Brazilian, having emerged as one of Europe's brightest talents last season as Monaco won Ligue 1, per Squawka:
However, given Mbappe has only performed to a high level over one season and is still raw, it would be a risk for Barca to splash such a huge amount on him.
As Miguelsanz noted, though, an added bonus of snapping up such a talented player would be preventing rivals Real from signing Mbappe, with Madrid having been expected to bag him this summer.
