Jake Lamb Falls into Stands While Making Acrobatic Catch

Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Jake Lamb entered his submission for top defensive play of the week during Thursday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, St. Louis outfielder Randal Grichuk hit a broken-bat fly ball toward the first row of seats located on the third base side of the infield.
Lamb refused to be denied, as he completed the catch and then retained possession of the ball as he tumbled over the wall.
The play was reminiscent of a classic Derek Jeter catch against the Boston Red Sox in 2004:
