Stephen Curry Surprises Disabled Veteran Timothy Birckhead in Family's New Home
ABC's The View renovated the home of disabled Navy veteran Tim Birckhead. Making the grand reveal even sweeter, the family received a surprise visit from NBA All-Star Stephen Curry.
Per ABC.com's Allie Yang, Birckhead has hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsy, an incurable disease that limits his sensory and motor nerves. The nonprofit organization Homes For Our Troops built a fully wheelchair-accessible home for the retired Navy officer.
The state-of-the-art house features a room that Birckhead decorated with paraphernalia from his favorite team, the Golden State Warriors. To the family's surprise, Curry was hiding in the bathroom.

"Tim, thank you for being a great inspiration to me," Curry said. "Now you got a new place here to watch our games on TV."
He also snatched some gummy bears after saying he'll think of the true warrior enjoying Warriors games from his new room.
