Following the announcement of the ratings, EA Sports Madden NFL released a video of rookies reacting to seeing them for the first time:

There is usually a great deal of intrigue surrounding skill-position players, and while Howard is tops in that regard a pair of running backs in Christian McCaffrey of the Carolina Panthers and Leonard Fournette of the Jacksonville Jaguars both check in at 80.

Among quarterbacks, Chicago Bears No. 2 overall pick Mitchell Trubisky is the leader with a rating of 77, but Patrick Mahomes II of the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson aren't far behind at 76.

Three players tied for the worst rating among first-round picks at 73 with Washington Redskins defensive tackle Jonathan Allen arguably being the most surprising of the bunch.

He was considered a likely top-five pick for much of the pre-draft process, but fell all the way to No. 17 despite winning 2016 SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors at Alabama.
