Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars Negotiating Contract Extension
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson confirmed his camp has been discussing a contract extension with the team.
"They have [talked], but at the end of the day, that's my agent's job and I'll let him do his thing and I'll do my thing on the field," he told Ryan O'Halloran of Jacksonville.com.
"I'm not 100 percent sure of where that process is at; that's not my No. 1 focus right now," he added, perย Brian Chojnackiย of First Coast News. "My No. 1 focus is to come into camp and be ready for my teammates, be a great teammate and a great player on the field to help us win games."

Offseason Moves for Every Team ๐
Robinson, 23, emerged as one of the best young receivers in the NFL after catching 80 passes for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2015. While he couldn't replicate those numbers in 2016 (73 receptions for 883 yards and six touchdowns), it's clear Robinson is one of the pillars of the team's offense alongside rookie running back Leonard Fournette.
And his drop-off in production likely was due to external factors, as Pro Football Focus suggested:ย
Indeed, while the team still has major questions at quarterbackโBlake Bortles has been extremely inconsistent in his young careerโthe Jags have promising talent at the skill positions, led by Robinson and Fournette and supplemented by players such as Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee and T.J. Yeldon.
And Robinson, in particular, is due for a raise. He'll make just $898,755 this year in the final season of his rookie contract, perย Spotrac.com. If he and the Jaguars can't agree to a long-term extension before next year, he's a prime candidate to be hit with the franchise tag.
