Taijuan Walker Hits First Career Home Run 455 Feet

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taijuan Walker added an accomplishment to his career resume in spectacular fashion during Tuesday's game versus the Atlanta Braves at Chase Field.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Walker crushed a leadoff blast off of Atlanta starter Mike Foltynewicz for his first-ever home run.
While that's a noteworthy achievement on its own, Statcast later noted the 24-year-old hit the second-longest homer belted by a pitcher this season:
"That’s 455 feet!

Second-longest HR by a pitcher since 2015, behind only Jon Gray’s 467-foot blast this year. #Statcast https://t.co/RpsQeR1Wnz
Walker has quite a long stroll ahead of him if he wants to retrieve that souvenir.
