ESPN celebrated the teams and athletes that gave back to the community during the 2017 Sports Humanitarian Awards that aired Tuesday night.

WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon was one of three recipients of the Stuart Scott ENSPIRE Award for WWE's work through the Connor's Cure charity. The charity is named for Connor Michalek, an eight-year-old who died in April 2014.

According to WWE, Connor's Cure has raised over $1 million to help fight pediatric cancer.

UFC star Ronda Rousey was McMahon's presenter for the Humanitarian Awards. McMahon said it was the first time the two had crossed paths since WrestleMania 31 in March 2015, when Rousey locked McMahon in an armbar.

McMahon shared photos with Rousey from the ceremony:

The V Foundation also congratulated McMahon:

Orlando City Soccer Club and the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) were the other two winners of the Stuart Scott ENSPIRE Award.

Orlando City received praise for its response to the June 2016 shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Ahead of the 2017 MLS season, the club unveiled 49 rainbow-colored seats at Orlando City Stadium to honor each of the 49 people who died in the shooting.

RISE is a nonprofit started by Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross that's "dedicated to harnessing the unifying power of sports to improve race relations and drive social progress," according to the organization's site.

Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano took home the night's highest individual honor, winning the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award. In October 2014, Giordano and his wife Lauren began Team Giordano, which partners with the Calgary Board of Education to improve the resources available to students in the Calgary area.

"It was really special, right from the start—watching the video of Muhammad Ali and then being able to win the award at the end of the night, I'm truly honored," Giordano said of the award, per Torie Peterson of the Flames' official site. "It's a pretty emotional night, pretty surreal for me right now."

Other winners included the San Francisco 49ers, who earned the Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year Award. It's the second year in a row a Bay Area franchise has collected the award after the San Francisco Giants were the 2016 recipients.

The United States Tennis Association received the League Humanitarian Leadership Award as well.
