Colin Moran Placed on 10-Day DL After Suffering Facial Fracture from Foul Ball
The Houston Astros announced Sunday that third baseman Colin Moran was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a facial fracture.
Moran fouled a ball off his face in the sixth inning of Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. The at-bat was just his sixth of the season, as the rookie was making his second appearance after being recalled from Triple-A on Tuesday.
MLB.com provided video of the injury off the pitch from Darren O'Day.

The 24-year-old was carted off the field and brought to a hospital, where he was tested "for everything from a concussion to a fracture," manager A.J. Hinch said, perย Julia Moralesย of AT&T SportsNet.
The Orioles offered well wishes for Moran on Twitter:
Marwin Gonzalez finished the at-bat for Moran and hit a three-run home run that gave the Astros a 6-4 lead. Houston won, 8-4.
Prior to the injury, Moran had showed promise in limited chances. After going just 3-for-23 in 2016, he kicked off his 2017 run in the majors with a 3-for-6 showing, which included a home run and triple, in two games. He had hit .308 with 18 home runs in 79 games for the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies.
The Astros will hope the talented prospect can return to the field before long.
