Patrick Cummins Gets Face Mangled at UFC on Fox 25 but Wins Fight Anyway

Patrick Cummins had a long but good night at UFC on Fox 25 in Long Island, New York, on Saturday. Facing a game Gian Villante, the former wrestler gutted his way to a split-decision victory.

Looking at him, though, few would have guessed he had won. After the bout, Cummins tweeted a photo of himself bloody, bruised, swollen and in the back of an ambulance. Check it out above.

While it wasn't easy, this was a much-needed victory for Cummins.

Now on his first UFC winning streak since 2014, he finally has a bit of momentum in the shallow light heavyweight division. It will be interesting to see what he can do with it.
