Kings' Skal Labissiere Returns to Haiti, Reunites with Man Who Helped Save Him
Sacramento Kings big man Skal Labissiere recently returned to Haiti for the first time since 2010.
On Thursday, the 21-year-old was reunited with a man who once helped save his life.
As B/R's Josh Martin explained this past April, Labissiere, his mother and his brother were trapped beneath rubble for several hours following the massive earthquake that affected his native country on January 12, 2010.
His father, Lesly, and a different man searched through the debris until they were able to locate the future basketball star and his family members.
The Sacramento forward was able to thank that hero in-person during his return to Port-au-Prince.
Per Chris Fisher of CatsPause.com, Labissiere is hosting a basketball camp for 50 players and coaches in Port-au-Prince from July 19-21.
