Gilas Pilipinas vs. Lithuania: Time, Live Stream for 2017 William Jones Cup

Gilas Pilipinas hopes to keep the momentum going when it faces Atletas All-Star Lithuania on Friday in the 2017 William Jones Cup at Taipei Peace International Basketball Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.

Gilas bounced back from a defeat at the hands of South Korea by recording an 84-75 victory over Iraq on Thursday. 

It was anything but an easy game for Gilas, as the Philippines fell behind 6-0 at the start and trailed 19-15 at the end of the quarter. The team ultimately found its rhythm behind the all-around play of import Mike Myers, who scored 16 points and pulled down 18 rebounds. Guard Kiefer Ravena added 13 points and six assists for Gilas.

Matt Wright triggered the team's success when he hit back-to-back three-pointers in the second quarter. Gilas was able to take a 36-22 lead into the locker room at halftime as a result of a sensational defensive effort.

Gilas was much better from beyond the arc than it was in Wednesday's loss. Gilas made three of seven three-point shots against Iraq compared to one of 26 in its previous effort against South Korea.

Canada and Lithuania are tied for first place with 5-1 records in the single round-robin tournament, and Canada defeated Gilas earlier in the event. The Philippines improved to 4-2 with its victory over Iraq, and it has not been eliminated from title contention.

Gilas and Lithuania will play at 3 p.m. (local time), and that corresponds to a 3 a.m. ET start. The game can be live-streamed at the Sports5 website, which makes all games in the William Jones Cup available for free.

Lithuania is led by Eigirdas Zukauskas, who is averaging 16.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
