Tottenham Hotspur kick off their 2017 International Champions Cup campaign against Paris Saint-Germain, at the Camping World Stadium, Orlando, Florida, on Saturday.

PSG may be slightly ahead with their pre-season preparations, having already faced AS Roma in the competition, which could give them an extra fitness edge over Spurs.

Dani Alves has been included in manager Unai Emery's pre-season squad, but Serge Aurier, Hatem Ben Arfa and Grzegorz Krychowiak have all been left at home, suggesting they could be set to leave this summer:

It has been a successful summer so far for PSG, particularly with the signing of Dani Alves. The Brazilian is likely to make his debut at the tournament, and he should provide the Parisiens with an extra dimension going forward, as highlighted by Opta:

The club have also managed to keep hold of key man Marco Verratti so far, with the player even apologising via Twitter after his agent called him a "prisoner of Emir" in an interview with Corrierre dello Sport (h/t Sport), amid speculation over a move to Barcelona.

Verratti remains crucial to PSG, with his excellence in possession, awareness and ability to play in his team-mates making him one of the finest central midfielders in Europe, as noted by WhoScored.com:

Along with Angel Di Maria and Edinson Cavani, PSG possess a team that can trouble Spurs, and they will want to improve on last season, when they were beaten to the French title by AS Monaco.

Tottenham finished runners-up in the Premier League, and they approach the new campaign in the knowledge they will be playing their home games at Wembley Stadium.

As noted by WhoScored, Spurs' record at the national stadium leaves plenty to be desired, and improvements will be needed if they are to maintain their spot in the top four:

Manager Mauricio Pochettino's men have also lost Kyle Walker to Manchester City, with Kieran Trippier now expected to become the club's first-choice right-back. Otherwise, it has been a quiet summer for Spurs.

Pochettino has, however, included many of the club's highly rated youngsters on the tour, and they could be handed a chance to stake a claim for a first-team place.
