Yoan Moncada Called Up by White Sox After Todd Frazier Trade
The Chicago White Sox announced Wednesday that they will call up top prospect Yoan Moncada from Triple-A Charlotte after they shipped Todd Frazier, David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle to the New York Yankees in a blockbuster deal Tuesday
Moncada, 22, is the No. 1 player in MLB.com's prospect rankings and slashed .282/377/.447 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI in 80 appearances at Triple-A.

Moncada made his MLB debut with the Boston Red Sox in September, but it wasn't long before he was shipped to the Windy City as part of the Chris Sale blockbuster.
Since moving to the White Sox, the star second baseman has proved his worth by piling up big numbers in Charlotte and winning the organization's Minor League Player of the Month honor in April.
And while Yolmer Sanchez has done fine work (.260/.323/.390) to this point of the season, the White Sox can afford to free up some playing time at second base to allow Moncada to work his way into a rhythm since they continue to occupy the American League Central cellar.
