Oklahoma State Punter Zach Sinor Campaigns for Heisman Trophy with Zany Website
Even the best punters struggle to receive any recognition. With the odds extremely against one winning a Heisman Trophy, Oklahoma State's Zach Sinor launched an absurd (in the best way) campaign website.
The redshirt junior takes site visitors back to the 1990s with a messy Web 1.0 design. Along with sharing some impressive stats, the site features many "Kaboom!!" graphics and a dancing baby.
Sinor's Heisman quest started weeks ago when he staked his claim to the prestigious award in a tongue-in-cheek video produced by Oklahoma State.
Per KCEN-TV's Jessica Morrey, he spoke to reporters about the site and his Heisman aspirations during Tuesday's Big 12 Media Day.
For those unable to sign on to AOL because someone is on the phone, he also gave reporters helpful brochures, courtesy of the Dallas Morning News' Ben Baby.
Cowboys quarterback Mason Rudolph may steal some votes, but Sinor is emerging as a front-line candidate due to his stellar marketing.
