Access Indianapolis: Raw 10/12/09

Raw is emanating from Indianapolis. Your hosts for the evening Nancy O'Dell and Maria Menounos.

The show opens with Jericho describing the SD vs Raw match. 
"It's My Job to make a team that will embarass Raw"
O'dell interrupts says "we dont open raw with jericho we open with dx."
Its just the opening segment and her face looks like she is having fun with the wwe.

Triple H comes out with the timekeeper who is playing shawn's part for the evening. Nice little bit trips kicks him out of the ring before the lights come on. Crowd chanting for DX. 
"For the thousands of you in attendance and for those of you watching at home and for Shawn Micheals who is sitting at home." 
Ha ha Shawns answering machine message is classic.

Brilliant shop.com plug. Jeri-Show comes out.  Great segment of Hunter pitching Jericho and Show against eachother. 
"Big Show wants to be  on team raw unfortunately we dont have any positions open." 
Hunter makes Big Show and Jericho for the opening match. Break number one.

Jerishow starts off with a collar and elbow Show is pushing Jericho to the corner.
Pets Jericho's head when he pushes him to the corner. Jericho slaps Show's Chest Show rebuttals with an arena-echoing slap of his own. Big Show is telling Jericho to calm down. Jericho with a slap to the face. Choke slam. Big Slap in the corner knocks Jericho to the ground. Big show to the outside telling Jericho to walk it off. ref to an 8 count Jericho tries to get in the ring but big show gets the interception and slides into the ring as the ref hits 10 and gets the victory.

By far this week it seems like the guest hostesses had a lot of practice. Maria just had an interview with legacy and she didn't even stutter through the segment. Delivered as perfect as O'dell's intro segment. She informed Dibiase and Cody that they will be facing off against cena for a spot in the SD vs Raw match.

I think the nation has moved beyond its redneck recession the last commercial was for motocross on ice. WtF? 

Alright back in the arena we are blessed with a Divas Championship match. Mickie James comes out first *that's right champion first.*  Her opponent oozes of Wtf-ery Miss Jillian Hall. Collar and elbow Jillian turns it to a headlock Mickie whips Jillian to the corner. Jillian does a monkey flip to Mickie Mickie tries to cartwheel to save herself but kind of just rolls instead. Thesz press. sweet dropkick sends Jillian to the ropes.One count. Jillian powerbombs Mickie out of the corner for the three. 

Jillian is giving her victory speech. Nice foreshadowing imo. O'dell comes out to American Woman. Good news Jillian you are still on raw bad news you have to face Melina for the title you just won. once again oozing of wtf-ery. Jillian doesn't want to give the championship up. (understandably). Split legged ddt. and shrieking sunset flip for the three Melina actually apologized to Jillian after she got the three a few times.

So far O'dell is selling that she belongs as host really well. 

It is announced that Snoop Dogg is hosting for next week. 

Super funny segment with Triple H filling in Shawn about their match at Bragging rights with Hornswaggle coming in as HBK. 

another funny segment with Santino and the hostesses and Beth Phoenix.

"Beth just so you know every time we were intimate in the past I faked every last organism" Santino is awesome.

Recap of Cena Orton round 75 and to think in 2006 people were chomping at the bit to see them fight.

triple threat is up next. legacy comes out together even though they are opponents.
Cena starts the match strong. Ted and Cody are working like a tight nit unit to begin. Super Cena with a double clothesline. Legacy hits the whirling dervish on Cena. With legacy dominating this match a bit it looks as though they are better than Orton i mean being able to handle super Cena and all. Cody with dustin's wcw bulldog in the corner. Ted looks crazed. Double drop kick. Cena being knelt on across the bottom rope. Cody gets out of the ring for  no reason. Up super Cena got his spinach. Dibiase cuts his rush short gets a two count. Cena and Ted in the ring. Dibiase has been dominant. gets a two count when Cody breaks the pin? Cody gets the AA to the floor. Dibiase with another two count. Dibiase into the steel post. Cody quickly in for a swinging neckbreaker and a two count. Cody is not letting up on Cena. Knee to the back of the skull two count.Cena  spinach induced suplex for the two count Dibiase makes the save. Spinach-induced double suplex. Cena is taking legacy apart. Stf on Ted. Orton distracts everyone and Cody capitalizes with a roll up on Ted. Great match good ending, with tension between legacy being highlighted. 

So as it stands at about 1:15 into the show we know 4 out of 7 participants for team Raw. HBK TripleH Big Show Cody Rhodes. with just under 45 minutes left to the show a new main event has been announced Legacy vs Cena and Orton. so on average each of the remaining qualification matches has about 10-15 minutes if that to be decided. 

Swagger vs MVP for a position on team raw. Swagger is 1-0 after proclaiming to finish the year undefeated. Starts with a kick to the gut and MVP reverses an early attempt at a gut wrench. Swagger tosses MVP into the post. working MVP's arm. Good back and forth action MVP is selling his arm. Swagger with a dropping armbar and back up with a Gutwrench Powerbomb and Swagger adds his name to the list of Team Raw and Makes it 2-0.

During the next Legacy segment I so thought Orton was going to smash their heads into eachother. he grabs Ted and Cody by the scruff of the neck  and it just looks like he is going to smash them. good segment once again im unsure after two months of building cody and ted up as legitimate tag stars why they are focusing on the tension.

Next Up Kofi is in action in a Bragging rights Qualifying match. His Opponent Evan Air Bourne. Kofi always looks like he is excited to be working for the WWE, its awesome to see someone who enjoys their job like that. Evan comes out and they cut to break.

Nice Quick match to begin. Couple of two counts. Kofi gets a wheel kick to the skull mid flight. Bourne with a Half crab. Kofi breaks when Bourne drags it to the center. Tosses Bourne up and lands an uppercut to his Jaw. Kofi hits the corner botch again. Bourne just pulled off some tekken style moves. Bourne off the top rope dives face first into Trouble in paradise. Awesome fast paced match.

As Kofi cements his spot in team raw the announcers announce that Raw's final member will not be decided until Thursday on superstars when Mark Henry and Masters go one on one.

Funny Dx Segment. this whole HBK on the phone thing is still humorous.Trips tells maria he trained her all day she should be good for her match.
"but all you taught me was 2 kicks and had me put you in a head-scissors for 20 minutes." lol
Poor Chavo catches a Maria kick to the nads. She apologizes.

Kelly Kelly Gail Kim and maria menounos vs Beth Rosa and Alicia Fox. Gail and Beth set to carry this match as Gail and Alicia start off. Maria tag in. hair tosses and the ref isn't bitching. Maria is kind of sloppy but selling as Beth is tagged in. Maria kicks her in the thigh and slaps Beth in the face and tags in Kelly. 720 degree back breaker. Rosa tagged in. maria hit a pretty flawless hangman on Rosa. and Kelly gets the three count. 

13 minutes left to the recording and just the main event is left. OOps i was wrong coming back from break Miz comes out.He is wearing a hoodie with a shirt and tie underneath. Battle of the mid-card title holders at Bragging Rights. Morrison vs Miz.

weird last week they said xbox 360 was the sponsor for Bragging rights this week its Smack down vs Raw which is released the Tuesday prior to the ppv. 

Champion is coming out to the ring for his tag team main event. Break Orton slowly makes his way to the ring.Cena is coming out im almost shocked he is coming out and Legacy came out before him but after randy. weird booking. Orton stands off to the side by the rail. Ted and Cena start off. Cena watching over both shoulders lifting amateur press and quick pin for a two count. Legacy takes over plenty of two on one maneuvers. plenty of covers and two counts. weird half nelson camel clutch maneuver by Cody Rhodes. Orton and Snoop know who cena's opponent for next week is. Super Cena is fighting out Hits the Protoplex.  Orton took his sights off the ring for seconds and Cena tags in Orton. Nice back and forth pin attempts by legacy on Orton. Orton tags himself in and assaults his opponent at Bragging rights. Dibiase slides in and rolls up Orton for the three there is a smirk on Cody and ted's faces. and Orton's Night ends with an Attitude Adjustment. 

Orton didn't get the worse new of the night they close out the show with promoting John Cena vs the Game for Raw Next Monday night.

Overall i liked this show it felt like a go home show to the payperview that is in two weeks. setting the bar real high for next weeks raw. A- i have really no gripes about this episode of raw but there were some inexplicable happenings that left me curious.I know i promised id be vile in my opinions but honestly i thought this weeks matches and guest host were all on the ball this week. 

Match of the night I think was Jericho and Big Show I liked that Legacy and Cena had some good matches tonight but Jericho vs Big Show in my opinion showed they both brought their A game the ending to all three were  good and creative. but it didn't really lessen the believability of the Jerishow allegiance they have been saying "Its a business arrangement" since the beginning.
