Alexis Sanchez's Agent Reportedly Contacted by PSG Amid Manchester City Rumours
Paris Saint-Germian are reportedly ready to battle Manchester City in the race to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and have made contact with his agent to register their interest.
According to Le Parisien (via Liam Prenderville in the Mirror), PSG sporting director Antero Henrique "made contact" about the Chilean last week, and the club are prepared "to push through a deal" despite Sanchez's wage demands.
L'Equipe (via Sport Witness) also reported the Ligue 1 runners-up could sign the 28-year-old:
Despite Sanchez only having one year remaining on his Arsenal contract, the Gunners remain "confident" of keeping hold of him, while Bayern Munich pulled out of the race to sign him on Monday, per Prenderville.
PSG entering the fray could change things, though, as they might be able to either force City's hand or come in with a tempting bid of their own.
Sanchez's immense ability means he deserves to be playing in the upper echelons of European football, something he will not get at Arsenal next season after they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Both PSG and City can offer Sanchez realistic league title ambitions and Champions League football, as well as a healthy contract.
While Arsenal are no doubt desperate to keep hold of their star player, they will surely not want to risk losing him for nothing next summer.
And Sanchez himself may look to force his way out of the Emirates Stadium, especially given the profile and financial clout of his reported suitors.
