Ohio State Fan Recovering from Brain Injury Still Shows His Dislike of Michigan

David McCrackenJul 16, 2017

Ohio State and Michigan fans aren't known for getting along. But for Zach Lawrence, a 38-year-old Buckeyes fan recovering from a brain injury after a car accident in the Republic of Georgia, his dislike of the Wolverines takes the rivalry up a notch.

After his family transported him to the United States following his accident to continue treatment at Dodd Hall Rehabilitation Center at Ohio State, Lawrence was given buttons to push for "yes" and "no" to test his responsiveness, per the Columbus Dispatch. When asked about his feelings for Michigan, he was quick to respond, according to the report:

"Lawrence immediately pushed the 'no' button. And then—just to make sure everyone had heard him the first time—he pushed it again.

"'He always makes a face when we mention Michigan,' said his wife, Meghan. 'We're pretty sure he's in there.'"

Here's hoping Lawrence makes a full recovery so he can see his Buckeyes take on the Wolverines in person soon.
