50 Cent Says He Helped Make Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor Fight Happen
Andrew GouldJul 15, 2017
Rapper 50 Cent casually took credit—or perhaps accepted blame—for helping to bring the upcoming Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Conor McGregor fight to life.
During Thursday night's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Curtis Jackson called Mayweather his "little brother" and expressed confidence the Aug. 26 bout will meet the hype. He also said he encouraged UFC President Dana White to "go after it" after Mayweather warmed up to the possibility of making the sideshow a reality.
Jackson soon might want to distance himself from the embarrassing circus that is the lead-up to a fight between an undefeated pugilist and a man who has never boxed professionally.
