A devoted Pirates fan knew exactly what to do with a Cardinals home run ball Friday night. Making it a keepsake wasn't exactly on the list.

Arizona third baseman Jedd Gyorko knocked a two-run homer into the stands of right center field in the top of the first inning, where a Pirates fan was able to get his hands on it.

The fan didn't skip a beat, instantly tossing his fresh catch out of the stadium and into the nearby Allegheny River.
