The move comes two weeks after Carrington was arrested in Eugene, Oregon on a misdemeanor DUI charge.

At the time of Carrington's arrest, he was immediately suspended indefinitely from Oregon's football program while investigating the situation.

As a junior in 2016, Carrington led Oregon with 606 receiving yards. He also finished tied for the team lead with five touchdowns and was second with 43 receptions.

In 2015, Carrington was named to the second-team All-Pac-12 with a career-high 609 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

Oregon is scheduled to open the 2017 season on Sept. 2 against Southern Utah.
