J.J. Watt Offers to Send Training Shoes to Ohio College Student

It doesn't hurt to shoot your shot on social media. 

That is exactly what current Bowling Green State University student and Bowling Green High School freshman football coach Gavin Winters did on Wednesday upon seeing a tweet from ESPN's Darren Rovell. 

Earlier this afternoon, Rovell explained the new training shoe from Houston Texans superstar J.J. Watt will cost $99 when it's released Friday. Winters responded via Twitter that he would purchase the shoes if he "wasn't a broke college kid" and tagged Watt in the post. 

With the help of the Internet, the defensive end eventually noticed and responded: 

It appears Winters will celebrate Christmas in July in style this year.
