Neither Berdych or Federer wasted much energy on Wednesday, with the latter cruising to an easy win over Raonic and the former walking off the court early in the second set.

Djokovic had kept things close until the tiebreak but quickly regressed and was unable to threaten much during the two games in the second set. His loss ended quite the streak, per Live Tennis:

Berdych has only made it out of the semi-finals of a Grand Slam once, advancing to the final at Wimbledon in 2010. The 31-year-old has carved out a nice career through consistency, but silverware has been hard to come by.

The head-to-head record between him and Federer stands at 18-6 in favour of the Swiss, who has won the last seven and the two previous meetings in 2017. They haven't met on grass since the 2010 Wimbledon tournament.

Federer has been playing excellent, efficient tennis and has been nearly unstoppable on his serve. He's mostly impressed in the rallies and from the baseline, where he has put up some ridiculous numbers, per tennis writer Craig O'Shannessy:

Berdych is a solid all-round player with a good serve, but he has struggled with Federer's variety of shots in the past. Fed Express has played some of the most creative tennis of his life in the tournament so far―in all likelihood, he'll continue his great run against the Czech with another win.

Cilic and Querrey both had to dig deep in their quarter-final wins, with the former beating Gilles Muller and the latter advancing past Murray, both in five sets.

Both are big hitters reliant on their first serve, and their clash should be an explosive one. Fans of technical rallies perhaps shouldn't tune in, but this match has the potential for numerous changes in momentum and could be an epic.
