Chad Johnson Donates $2,200 to Track Team to Travel to Junior Olympics

Chad Johnson helped a young Baltimore, Maryland, track team take a significant step toward completing its fundraising goals to attend the Junior Olympics.

Author Tariq Toure shared the Turbo Track's GoFundMe page that was created to raise money for the squad's travel arrangements. 

Johnson—whose daughter, Cha'iel, won the Junior Olympics' 800 meters in each of the last two years—responded by contributing $2,200 to the cause. The former NFL wide receiver's donation raised the overall tally over $4,000, bringing the team closer to its $5,000 goal.

The national track and field event will take place from July 24-30 in Lawrence, Kansas.
