
Britney Spears Reportedly Had Discussions to Perform at Super Bowl LII Halftime
Britney Spears has reportedly made it known to the NFL she would like to perform at the Super Bowl LII halftime show.
Per the New York Daily News, Spears' associates "have had 'secret discussions' with television and advertising execs tied to Super Bowl LII" with the hopes of getting a role in the halftime act for the NFL's annual pop-culture extravaganza.
“Britney has made it clear to her team that it is a dream to perform at a Super Bowl,” one insider told the Daily News. “She has the hits package and appeal to be a headliner.”

The report did note Spears "could also be packaged with other big acts" to fill out the halftime show if the NFL decides to give her a spot during the Super Bowl.
The Grammy-winning singer released her ninth studio album in August 2016 and has had a residency show in Las Vegas since 2013.
Spears has performed during the Super Bowl halftime show before as part of an act with N'Sync, Aerosmith, Nelly and Mary J. Blige in January 2001.
