Joe Salisbury Notches Point-of-the-Tournament Candidate at Wimbledon

Zac WassinkJul 8, 2017

British teammates Joe Salisbury and Katy Dunne lost their Wimbledon 2017 mixed doubles match to Neal Skupski and Anna Smith in straight sets Friday in London, but it was Salisbury who made headlines with what may go down as the most impressive point of this year's tournament.

Early into the second set of the contest, the 25-year-old had to rush toward the courtside seats in an attempt to keep the ball in play.

He lofted a successful return before hopping over a short fence to avoid a potential injury. He then returned to the court in time to deliver a point-winning backhand volley.
