Titans' Nissan Stadium Damaged by Errant 4th of July Fireworks
Setting off fireworks is a Fourth of July tradition, but damage to property often follows. This was the case with Nissan Stadium Tuesday night, home of the Tennessee Titans.
According to ESPN.com, a fireworks shell landed in the upper deck of the stadium and caused some damage upon detonation.
"Basically, a shell misfired and caused some damage. ... Thankfully, nobody was hurt," Metro Sports Authority director Monica Fawknotson told reporters.

The city's fireworks display was put together by Pyro Shows, with the shells detonated from the west side of the stadium. Unfortunately, one didn't go off until it landed in the seats, causing damage to the seats and concrete.
Officials spent Wednesday assessing the damage.
Greg Arias of Pro Football Spot provided a view of the missing seats:
After starting the first week of the preseason on the road, the Titans will have their first home game in 2017 on Saturday, Aug. 19 against the Carolina Panthers.
