Kevin Durant Breaks Down Markelle Fultz's Game in Tweet
Kevin Durant—who already made news Monday when he agreed to a two-year extension with the Golden State Warriors worth $53 million, per ESPN.com's Chris Haynes—took to Twitter to break down Markelle Fultz's game:
Durant warned fans they may not understand the breakdown if they "don't REALLY hoop," but the Philadelphia 76ers seemed to get the message about their No. 1 overall draft pick:
There are few NBA players more noteworthy to impress than the Warriors superstar. Durant is an eight-time All-Star, won the league MVP in 2013-14 and is coming off an NBA Finals MVP when his Warriors dispatched the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games.
He also won Rookie of the Year in 2007-08, and 76ers fans would love for Fultz to follow in his footsteps in 2017-18.
The Washington product will be one of the primary ball-handlers as the rebuilding process in Philadelphia comes together with Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Dario Saric. It is not difficult to envision this team competing in the Eastern Conference in the coming years behind that core, and Fultz's development will be a critical part of the vision coming together.
Considering the 19-year-old has already done enough to impress Durant, he appears well on his way.
