Brooklyn Cyclones Wear Captain America-Themed Uniforms

Most Americans will celebrate the Fourth of July with hot dogs and fireworks, but the Brooklyn Cyclones, a minor league affiliate of the New York Mets, had another idea in mind. 

To get into the Independence Day spirit, the Cyclones took to the field Sunday in Captain America-themed uniforms as part of their "Marvel Superhero Day." They also handed out Captain America bobbleheads to 2,000 lucky fans.

In the first game of their doubleheader against the Connecticut Tigers, the Cyclones escaped with a 7-6 victory to notch their first home win of the year. Connecticut got its revenge in the second game, however, beating Brooklyn 3-2.
