LSU's Jacob Phillips is reportedly the subject of a police investigation after a female student-athlete from the same university alleged the linebacker raped her.

According to TMZ Sports, the 18-year-old has yet to be charged or arrested and has strongly denied the allegations made against him. It's added that "the Baton Rouge PD is actively working on the case."

It's reported that police were called to a hospital in Baton Rouge on June 11. Police are said to have taken photos of bruises while a rape kit was administered.

Sources told TMZ the woman "had a previous romantic relationship with Phillips but had cut things off before the alleged incident."

Sources also revealed that the woman in question clearly turned down advances from Phillips before she was allegedly attacked. "We're told the woman insists she repeatedly told Phillips to leave, but he refused," the piece continued.

TMZ noted that it has asked LSU for comment on the matter, but a rep for the school had no comment.

Phillips committed to LSU in January 2017.
