Andre Iguodala Rumors: Warriors Plan to Offer Contract Around $13M-$15M Per Year

The Golden State Warriors won't let Andre Iguodala go without a fight.

According to Marcus Thompson II of the Mercury News, the team planned to meet with the free agent Saturday while offering him a three-year deal. The new contract is expected to be in the range of $13 million to 15 million per year.

Iguodala has reportedly already met with the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets.

According to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, the Rockets made a contract offer after an "excellent" meeting.

Shams Charania of The Vertical reported afterward he had canceled the rest of his meetings.

Charania reported earlier in the offseason several teams were willing to get in a bidding war for the veteran small forward, leading to a potential deal worth $20 million per year.

While the particulars of the offer from the Rockets isn't yet known, cap space could be an issue after the team acquired Chris Paul earlier this week.

If the Warriors are unable to retain Iguodala, they could target free agent Rudy Gay, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported (via Chris Haynes of ESPN).
