
Dodgers-Padres Benches Clear After Dave Roberts, Andy Green Altercation
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and San Diego Padres manager Andy Green were ejected from Friday night's game at Petco Park following a verbal altercation that spawned a benches-clearing brawl before the second inning started.ย
According to theย Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett, Roberts and Green were summoned to the diamond by the umpire after Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood appeared to complain about Padres outfielderย Jose Pirela relaying signs to batters from second base.ย
Plunkett noted something "set Roberts off," at which point things escalated and the Dodgers boss bumped Green:ย
