Jaromir Jagr Says He Has Received No Free-Agency Calls from Teams

Jaromir Jagr is looking to continue his illustrious career, but so far this offseason the phone isn't ringing.

The 45-year-old provided this insight on his personal Twitter account:

Jagr scored 16 goals and totaled 46 points for the Florida Panthers last season.

George Richards of the Miami Herald reported Tuesday the Panthers want Jagr back but "not at last year's money." 

Per Spotrac, he had a $4 million base last season on a one-year deal with another $1,515,000 to gain in incentives.

While the age is an obvious concern, Jagr finished fourth on the team in points and was one of five Florida players to appear in all 82 regular-season games. Over the last four years, he is averaging a respectable 56.5 points per season.

Although he clearly isn't the same player who was awarded one Hart Trophy and five Ross Trophies and went to eight All-Star games, he can still be a valuable addition for a lot of teams.

Considering 37-year-old Joe Thornton is getting the 10 to 12 calls Jagr was referring to, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN, a few years shouldn't make too much of a difference.
