New York Knicks Fans Celebrate Phil Jackson Getting Fired as Team President
Thomas DuffyJun 28, 2017
The New York Knicks announced they were parting ways with team president Phil Jackson on Wednesday morning, and fans rejoiced.
Jackson's three-year tenure was highlighted by drafting Kristaps Porzingis, but New York went 80-166 under him with nary a playoff berth.
The Zen Master engaged in public feuds with Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony, which led fans to turn on the 71-year-old, who won 11 NBA championships as a coach and two more as a player with the Knicks (1970 and 1973).
