Former Oregon Ducks tight end Colt Lyerla had his jail sentence extended by 30 days Tuesday after he escaped from the Washington County Community Correction Center in May, according to the Oregonian's Everton Bailey Jr

Lyerla is in the midst of serving a six-month sentence after he was convicted on charges of forgery, drug possession and driving under the influence of intoxicants, per the Oregonian's Tony Hernandez

One day after Lyerla escaped from the correctional center, police confirmed the 24-year-old had been located and transported to the hospital following an apparent overdose on heroin.
