Kevin Durant Isn't a Fan of the Philadelphia 76ers' 'FEDS' Nickname

David McCrackenJun 25, 2017

As an NBA champion, you can talk the talk because you walked the walk. And Golden State Warriors star and Finals MVP Kevin Durant isn't pulling punches when it comes to the youth movement of the Philadelphia 76ers.

"FEDS" is the nickname that's been given to the 76ers potential starters for next season. Markelle Fultz, Joel Embiid, Dario Saric and Ben Simmons are all great talents, but they have played a total of zero minutes on the court together, a statistic not lost on Durant.

"How you got a nickname and ain’t played no games yet?" Durant said in the clip above to teammates Andre Iguodala and Javale McGee at McGee's charity softball game on Saturday.

To be fair, he did go on Twitter and clarify his comments, saying that the players are good, but the nickname still isn't.

Who knows? Maybe FEDS will be the next big thing and KD will jump ship to Philadelphia when the Sixers are ready to win it all.
