Rob Gronkowski and Dustin Pedroia Tell Filthy Jokes in Roast of David Ortiz

Rob Gronkowski and Dustin Pedroia went blue in a benefit roast of David Ortiz.

In a celebrity event that also featured comedian Bill Burr and actor Anthony Mackie, the Boston athletes let curses fly in a highly NSFW video that Boston.com posted on Facebook.

Gronkowski's set is the typical roast stuff. He sacrificed punchlines and substance for crude insults, mostly about Ortiz's weight. In any other context, the material would get the New England Patriots tight end in major trouble. (Even here, it's not the best look.)

His most passable bit was directed at Mackie, who played Falcon in two Captain America movies, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. He took the opportunity to zing the Atlanta Falcons for blowing a 28-3 lead in Super Bowl LI.

Pedroia, Ortiz's former Boston Red Sox teammate, followed with a bizarre account of Big Papi thinking Pedroia's first name was "Pee Wee" after nine-plus years of playing together.

NESN originally planned to broadcast the roast, but it changed its mind after seeing the filthy sets.
