Kevin Durant Wears Hat Featuring Ring Atop Cupcake After Warriors Championship

Kevin Durant is embracing the cupcake. 

After "cupcake" jeers met the NBA Finals MVP following his decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors, he was spotted Saturday rocking a hat with a championship ring atop the confection he's become synonymous with. 

If the last two years are any indication, celebratory hats are trending. 

Months after the Cleveland Cavaliers erased a 3-1 series deficit and defeated the Warriors in the 2016 Finals, LeBron James showed off a lid on Instagram featuring Kermit and the Larry O'Brien Trophy in place of his meme-worthy tea:
