Michael Vick's Dad Arrested on Federal Drug, Money Laundering Charges
The father of former NFL quarterback Michael Vick, Michael Boddie, was arrested Thursday on heroin distribution and money laundering charges.
According to Scott Daugherty of theĀ Virginian-Pilot, the 55-year-old Boddie was one of 12 people named in a federal indictment, and he is being held without bond until aĀ detention hearing Monday.
VickĀ retiredĀ in February after a 13-year NFL career that was interrupted for two years when he served prison time for his involvement in a dog-fighting ring in 2007 and 2008.

Per Daugherty, it is unclear what type of relationship Vick currently has with his father, but it was reported in 2007 by theĀ Washington PostĀ that they were estranged.
