Lonzo Ball's New Lakers-Themed 'ZO2' Shoes by LaVar's Big Baller Brand Revealed

Rob GoldbergJun 22, 2017

Lonzo Ball is officially on the Los Angeles Lakers after being selected with the No. 2 pick of the NBA draft. Unsurprisingly, his father LaVar is already trying to cash in.

According to Darren Rovell of ESPN.com, the Big Baller Brand has released another shoe for sale:

Like the original ZO2's that were released, the latest versions are also going for $495.

Ball popped on his own pair after switching out of his dress shoes right before he was picked.

"I had them on after Markelle [Fultz] got picked," he said, per Rovell. "I had a good feeling I was going to be staying home. I'm glad that they picked me because I didn't have any other shoes under the table."

The new shoes have a promise of reaching customers by Feb. 10.

LaVar Ball has been very outspoken since the start of the college basketball season and through the predraft process, expecting Lonzo Ball to end up with the Lakers. The point guard in fact didn't work out for any other team besides the hometown squad.

Unsurprisingly, he was ready to go with the new team colors shortly after his son was drafted, per Rovell:

"I'm trying to tell you," he told ESPN, per Nina Mandell of USA Today. "I knew this was happening before it was happening."

He now has the shoes ready to promote along with his son. Meanwhile, Lonzo Ball enters his first season with plenty of pressure attempting to turn around a Lakers franchise that has struggled mightily in the past few years.
