Lucas Lima Reportedly Set to Join Barcelona on a Free Transfer in January 2018
Barcelona will reportedly add Santos' Lucas Lima on a free transfer when the 26-year-old's contract expires in January.
Per Fox Sports Brazil (h/t Marca), a deal has already been agreed. Lima, who is dating Neymar's sister Raffaela and is represented by the Blaugrana star's father, is seen as one of the top players in Brazil despite not leaving the country as a young prospect.
Lima has 14 caps for Brazil and has been tracked by other top European clubs, including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, per Marca. Santos mostly use him as a classic attacking midfielder, but he can also shift back to help out in the trenches.

Here's a look at some of his highlights:
At the age of 26, the Catalans won't have to worry about his ability to adapt to European football as much as they would if he was younger. Lima has the quick feet, instincts and vision to fit Barcelona's philosophy, and he's proved his abilities at the highest level with the national team.
To add such a player on a free transfer is an exceptional piece of business. Even if Lima flops at the Camp Nou, his arrival will at the very least help keep Neymar happy.
