Barcelona Transfer News: Miralem Pjanic Reportedly Eyed Amid Marco Verratti Talk
Barcelona have reportedly identified Juventus' Miralem Pjanic as an option if their move for Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Verratti falls through.
Per Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo (h/t Football Espana), the Blaugrana could send Andre Gomes the other way to secure the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
According to the article, Juventus see Gomes as a possible back-up plan in case they can't land Steven N'Zonzi from Sevilla.

Per Corriere dello Sport (h/t Goal's Chris Myson), the Bianconeri are also interested in Verratti, and his agent Donato Di Campli has previously suggested the midfielder could end up in Turin, though he made it clear that the finances included may prove too much of a stumbling block.

Pjanic joined the Italian champions from rivals AS Roma last season and seamlessly replaced Paul Pogba in midfield. He played a crucial role in the team's run to the UEFA Champions League final and provided nine assists in Serie A.
Gomes moved to Catalonia from Valencia last summer and failed to make much of an impact for his new club, but the Portugal international is still just 23 years old and has bags of potential. It will take a lot more than just the enforcer to convince Juventus to part with Pjanic after only one season, however.
