Justin Thomas Putts Birdie While Facing Away from Hole at US Open

Andrew GouldJun 17, 2017

Justin Thomas showed ice in his veins during Saturday's U.S. Open action at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin.

On the fifth hole of the tournament's third round, the 24-year-old American directed his unconventional putt away from his target. The ball rolled down the hill and right into the hole for his third birdie of the day.

Following a rough first round, Thomas soared to the top of the leaderboard midway through Round 3 after six birdies on the front nine Saturday. If he's the superstitious type, he may have to wear those hot-pink pants again Sunday.
