Joel Embiid Tweets Picture of Markelle Fultz's Name on 76ers Locker

The 2017 NBA draft doesn't take place until Thursday, and the Philadelphia 76ers still hold the No. 3 selection as of Saturday afternoon.

That didn't stop Joel Embiid from prematurely welcoming Markelle Fultz by posing with teammate Dario Saric next to the Washington point guard's nameplate in Philly's locker room.

ESPN.com's Marc Stein and Zach Lowe dropped a major bombshell Friday, reporting Philadelphia was in negotiations with the Boston Celtics to acquire the No. 1 overall pick.

The Boston Herald's Mark Murphy added some validity to the belief Philadelphia wants to move up to snag the highly touted Fultz:

According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, Saturday's workout could solidify a transaction. He also relayed the possible package Boston would receive:

Players are typically taught not to comment on rumors until something is finalized. Embiid, always an active and engaging social media presence, did not play by those rules. 

Does he know a deal is near completion, or is he just eagerly following the developments alongside 76ers fans? Probably the latter, but now it could be awkward if the rumored exchange falls through.
