Roma knocked back a £28 million offer from the Anfield club earlier in June, per Sky in Italy (h/t Sky Sports). The Italian capital-city club wants £40 million for Salah, per MailOnline's Simon Jones.
It's a hefty fee, but Salah has the attributes to suit the high-pressing, quick-breaking game Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp preaches. He boasts the pace and range of movement from the flanks to thrive in a fluid attack where wingers, forwards and attacking midfielders routinely rotate positions.
It's how Klopp used Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino last season. Salah would likely flourish in such a system after scoring 19 times and providing 12 assists in all competitions last season, perĀ WhoScored.com.

Even so, the Reds would be taking quite a risk spending around £40 million on a player who disappointed during his brief previous stint in the Premier League.
