Liverpool Transfer News: Roma Reportedly Want Better Mohamed Salah Bid from Reds
Serie A side AS Roma reportedly want an improved offer from Liverpool for Egypt winger Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool have already bid £28 million for the former Chelsea man, but Roma expect the Reds to return with more money, per Sky in Italy (h/t Sky Sports News HQ).
The report revealed Liverpool remain in talks over a move for Salah. Giallorossi director of football Monchi has confirmed talks are ongoing but wouldn't identify Liverpool as the suitor, per James Walters of the Daily Star: "An English club likes Salah, and we'll decide what price to set depending on the circumstances."

Roma knocked back a £28 million offer from the Anfield club earlier in June, per Sky in Italy (h/t Sky Sports). The Italian capital-city club wants £40 million for Salah, per MailOnline's Simon Jones.
It's a hefty fee, but Salah has the attributes to suit the high-pressing, quick-breaking game Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp preaches. He boasts the pace and range of movement from the flanks to thrive in a fluid attack where wingers, forwards and attacking midfielders routinely rotate positions.
It's how Klopp used Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino last season. Salah would likely flourish in such a system after scoring 19 times and providing 12 assists in all competitions last season, per WhoScored.com.

Even so, the Reds would be taking quite a risk spending around £40 million on a player who disappointed during his brief previous stint in the Premier League.
