Alec NathanJun 16, 2017

Showtime's announcing team for the Aug. 26 superfight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor has been finalized.

According to Sporting News' Michael McCarthy, Showtime will use its regular team of boxing announcers, led by play-by-play announcer Mauro Ranallo and color commentators Al Bernstein and Paul Malignaggi. Brian Custer has been tabbed as the studio host, while Jim Gray will be the ringside reporter at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Steve Farhood rounds out Showtime's team as the broadcast's unofficial scorer.

Showtime spokesman Chris DeBlasio also told McCarthy the network will enlist special guest commentators to chime in during the broadcast.

A price has yet to be set for the pay-per-view.

However, MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani noted during a conference call Wednesday that UFC president Dana White's answer to a question about the pay-perview cost suggested the final number could come in somewhere around the $100 HBO and Showtime charged for the 2015 fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
