Apparently one of the perks of being a starting quarterback in the NFL is the opportunity to play golf with the president of the United States.
According to Mike Jones and David Fahrenthold of the Washington Post, Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins played a round with Donald Trump on Saturday at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminister, New Jersey.
"Great experience," Cousins said Wednesday of his time with the president.
While events like this are likely to create a partisan reaction, the quarterback noted he would enjoy spending time with "any former presidents" as well.
"Republican, Democrat, left, right, I'd love an invite," Cousins added.
Trump, who is an avid golfer, has apparently been making the rounds with NFL stars. According to Allie Malloy of CNN, the president also recently played with former Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
As for Cousins, this perk could be incentive to stay in Washington as he potentially approaches free agency in 2018.
